About Don Ramos
I retired from the San Jose Fire Department at the rank of Battalion Chief. I have been the Fire Chief in the Felton and Branciforte Fire Protection Districts. I have an A.A. in Fire Science, a B.A. in Human Performance, and Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Public Administration. I have been teaching in the California Community College system for decades.

Getting to the Class and your Course Syllabus:
1. Well now, you should be ready to start.
2. Go to the Cabrillo Web Page (www.cabrillo.edu)
3. On the left you will see a line that says “Distance Courses & WebCT” --- click it.
4. You will be sent to a log-in page. In the middle of the page you will see a Log-In Box with a cartoon of a professor --- click this.
5. You are now at the Entry Page. In the top/middle you will see “Browser Check”. You need to click this and perform a browser check of your system to insure that your browser will work with this class.
6. Back on the Entry Page you will enter your User Name and Password.
7. You will then reach the Blackboard Learning System page. You will probable get a pop-up that asks some security thing --- click Yes. Every time you see this pop-up --- click Yes.
8. On the Blackboard Learning System page, click your class.
9. You have arrived.
