DON ADKINS teaches music classes at both Cabrillo College & Bethany University in Scotts Valley. He conducts the Cabrillo College Orchestra and often provides musical direction for musicals in the Santa Cruz area. Don is music director of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Aptos and often performs as a piano accompanist for vocalists.
Dr. Adkins believes that music is one of the core expressions of our humanity. He goes on to say, "Teaching music is a task that is always important because students are being given something that makes their lives better. Armed with the knowledge of the details of the musical experience, students are able to find the expressive qualities that make the music experience both personal and rewarding."
COURSE INFORMATION:
Dr. Adkins teaches Music Appreciation, Beginning Class Piano and conducts the Cabrillo College Orchestra.
